disturbing logistics Here is an article I ran across yesterday in the Washington Post regarding the protection of supply convoys in Afghanistan. I know we are not there and don’t know what it is like, however, is this not why we have a military to protect the convoy? They cannot protect themselves?  One sentence really stood out: “ …According to the congressional report, the U.S. officers charged with supervising the deliveries never travel off bases to determine how the system works or to ensure that U.S. laws and regulations are followed….”, what the xxx are they there for? What purpose do the bases have then? What are the billions for, what security?
