HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO
Caught up to today, the last two days were just to depressing to get anything done. Moved out to Starbucks near my apartment to get some things done. I just love to be outside.
Workout this morning was draining and it took a while to get my energy flowing.
Tonight is another big game for softball – GO TITANS
The girls played well, good comeback in the last inning. Thanks to the inexperienced umpire, who left the field in a hurry after the last inning, we lost the game. Ridiculous calls as strikes, about chin height, runners on first running during a time out call, runners outside of the baseline called safe, tacked runners called safe – leaves one question: what lottery did he win the license from? Or does he need glasses?
The most unsportsman like contact should have had the opposing team’s coach suspended from the game. While one of the players was on third base he told her “.. don’t even try, you can’t do it “ or something like that, taunting our player. The player was in tears of course. Although the coach came over after the game, once he heart that we asked about his name, and he apologized – it is completely out of line for a coach to do something like that. Go back and learn manners you moron.

randomPolice Cruisers. They are like a swarm around my area. I have a view onto one of the major arteries towards Washington D.C. and watch the morning commute backing up gradually as 8 AM rolls around. Some drivers think they can use the shoulders – bang – ticket. What the cruiser was doing on the median is beyond me around 10AM with no traffic anywhere. Random U-Turns without the sirens, left turns from the middle lane, driving 35 mph in a 25mh zone, taking the wrong turn and correcting it on the fly, just things the average driver would get a ticket in a heart beat, etc etc. Seatbelt law. There must be an exception to the rule (law) for school buses not to have seat belts for the kids. If so WHY? Info. If we, as a country have such a great technology capable of reading a newspaper from space, why can’t we be more effective against guerilla warfare? Fines. Where does the 16+ million dollar fine for Toyota go? Advertising for the census. Something to the effect that you as a citizen should fill out the census questionnaire because there are “xx billion dollars for your community” at stake. What would one community do with billions of dollars? If the census is not filled out in the first place, how do they expect the citizen to understand that only a portion will go to the community? Arizona. Given the new law in Arizona, first, I wonder how Cinco de Mayo is celebrated there today; second, why are we doing this again? Oh yes, margaritas (as many facebook participants looked forward to it during the day). |
