My soccer practice was rained out yesterday but we needed the rain.

First softball practice in the cold.  The weather surely turned around on us.  The wind was blowing the cold air from the north and turned all of us into icicles.  Nevertheless, the girls had a lot of fun.  I just love this age group, nothing can get them down.  Every ball they catch is a triumph, every base they make is a record, every hit they make is great.

BTW

is there a reason behind it? Why is it that police cars are allowed to exceed the speed limit even though there is no apparent reason for it?  As you drive down the road you see one approaching and adjust to the proper speed limit.  Here he or she zooms by, sometimes talking on the cell phone even …  What gives?
