Day 100 - 2010

Day 100

There we are 100 days into the year. Having the blogging software shut down on you several times interrupts the flow of thought disturbingly.

Blogging

It is a challenge to write as a professional blogger.  I view the blogging as a continuation of the comments writers are publishing in magazines, except everybody can do it now with mixed results. Even if you write casual blogs as a collection of thoughts, some of the research is just mind boggling if you want to keep your blog accurate.  I just love how this all developed into a huge network of communication.  This is something we only dreamed of in the old days.  The drawback is that there are millions of people out there writing about the next best thing.  Telling a friend of mine to check out my blog once in a while to stay in touch was quickly dismissed as an additional piece of information to be read.  All the information out there is very overwhelming if added to the constant updates on TV and radio.  We are live at …

TIP: Invest in a voice recorder and get your ideas on tape or digitized.  It is faster than writing it down, thoughts are shooting stars which are hard to capture. It also helps to capture them while you are driving.  Use a good formatting program like Word Press or Windows Live Writer, it saves you a lot of frustration (as I experienced on Day 77).

My all time favorite commentator  is  John C. Dvorak from PC Magazine.  PC Magazine is now 20 years old, I was there when it happened and have been a long time follower. John C. Dvorak Remembers - Looking Back: 15 Years of PC Magazine | PCMag.com.
